Welcome to the Craft Cupboard
Before you start creating crafts for your Campus home, some basic tools will
be necessary in many of the crafts. Some crafts will require more tools, but these
five main tools will give you a great start to building your own Craft Cupboard.
Top 5 Tools
1. Markers
The best markers are the ones that are reliable and give color quality results. Some markers can get to be quite expensive but cheaper alternatives should do the trick. We suggest getting a pack with at least 10 different colors. Markers can be bought at any craft store, superstore, and even some convenience stores or dollar stores.
2. Glue and Glue Gun sticks
Glue guns and glue sticks can be quite tricky to find. Your best bet would be to go into a craft store or a store that has a scrapbooking or craft section. There is no need to buy the fancy and expensive ones - the cheapest ones will work fine.
3. Scissors
Having a good pair of reliable scissors is always good to have on hand. Scissors can be bought at any superstore, dollar store or craft store but there is no need to buy specialty craft scissors. A regular, large pair of scissors will do the trick, just make sure your fingers fit comfortably in them so you can cut with a smooth line.
4. Fabric
There are a lot of crafts out there that allow you to customize the color and style of many designs so start collecting scraps of your favorite fabric. Old t-shirts, blankets, missing socks can do the trick but if you want specialty fabric, a craft store, fabric store or a tailor may have what you are looking for.
5. Embellishments
Embellishments add flair and style to your crafts. They are meant to turn it into something personal and that shows off who you are. Embellishments can be things like jewels, feathers, glitter, buttons and whatever else you want to start collecting to decorate your craft creations.
